UN Women

UN Women is the United Nations entity dedicated to gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls. Its work advances women’s rights, strengthens laws and institutions, shifts social norms, and promotes the meaningful participation and leadership of women and girls. In partnership with governments, women’s movements, civil society and other stakeholders, UN Women works across four key areas: women’s leadership and political participation, economic empowerment, ending violence against women and girls, and peace, security and humanitarian action.
