Anja Schwetje

Since 2014 Anja Schwetje is responsible for topics related to waste and climate in the German Environment Agency, unit III2.4 Waste Technology, Waste Technology. In that function she is Co-Lead of the Waste Hub of the Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC), Vice-Chair of the Working Group Climate Change and Waste Management in the International Solid Waste Association (ISWA), Co-Chair of the Organic Waste Working Group of PREVENT Waste Alliance, and on the Advisory Board of German RETech Partnership. She has more than 30 years of experience in waste management and circular economy internationally.
