Biography

Miranda has worked at the Ellen MacArthur Foundation for six years, and currently holds the role of Climate Lead. She is the Foundation’s representative in the Marrakech Partnership for Global Climate Action, and focused on ways in which circular economy can contribute to climate mitigation and adaptation, and what actions can be taken by business and policy to strengthen this. In earlier roles at the Foundation, Miranda has worked on circular economy projects with businesses in the Foundation’s Network and as Governments Lead, focused on policies for a circular economy, engaging with local and national policymakers, international institutions, as well as business, on the conditions for scaling the transition to a circular economy. She has led the development of various flagship insight pieces including the Universal circular economy policy goals, and Circular economy in cities resources suite, and contributed to several others.

 

At the start of her career, Miranda completed a traineeship at the European Commission, after which she worked at a policy advisor in the UK Government for five years. She has also worked for a range of social enterprises and charities, and a design business. She has a Masters in European Politics and Governance from the LSE and an MA Hons in History from the University of Cambridge.
