Biography

Cassie Flynn is the Global Director of Climate Change at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), with a portfolio that supports more than 150 countries to take bold climate action. 

 

Cassie Flynn has been on the forefront of the climate debate for the last 15 years. She has advised presidents, prime ministers, CEOs, and high-level coalitions on the climate crisis and was a key player in the historic Paris Agreement negotiations.

 

Flynn has been a trusted and featured expert on climate change in international and national media, and at major conferences and events, such as TED and SxSW. She has been a featured expert by CNN, BBC, Wall Street Journal, Le Monde, New York Times, and other publications. 

 

Flynn also has deep experience creating innovative advocacy campaigns and strategic partnerships with diverse industries, including film, television, music, and gaming. Named as one of the most influential people on climate change by Onalytica, Flynn aims to directly impact the ability for the world to take action on the climate crisis. 

 

She earned her master's degree from Yale University and undergraduate degrees from Bowdoin College.
