Accelerating industrial transformation with the Climate Club: Presentation of key deliverables of 2026
The Climate Club is an international forum of more than 50 countries from all geographies to accelerate industrial decarbonisation. During the event, Turkish and German Co-Chairs of the Climate Club will present this year’s key deliverables: (1) The Climate Club’s technical guidelines on interoperability of carbon accounting approaches, which will help to lower administrative burden for industrial firms operating in different markets, (2) The Progress Report on the Pledge to grow near-zero and low-emissions steel and cement markets, which will showcase how countries are advancing policies that facilitate investments in decarbonised industrial production and create demand for green products, thereby giving investors certainty in direction; and (3) Guidance on country platforms for industry transformation in emerging markets and developing economies (EMDE), which can help to translate ambition into tangible investments and implementation outcomes. The presentation will be followed by a panel discussion with distinguished experts, private sector representatives, and Climate Club members, on the relevance of strengthening international cooperation on industrial decarbonisation in turbulent geopolitical times and the economic benefits of green industrialisation.
